OVERLAW was impressive last time and can continue on an upward curve with Maurisca and Glimmer Of Light candidates to make the frame. The selection was a warm order to score at Southwell on his penultimate start only to unseat before the race had really got underway but he made no mistake when a much bigger price at Hereford and he's fancied to follow up with the minimum of fuss despite the handicapper's attentions. Glimmer Of Light won this race last year and is only 4lbs higher following some disappointing efforts on his recent outings. He has to bounce back from those performances but it would be no great surprise to see him do so. Maurisca has been backed on occasion and has shaped with promise over hurdles and, with his yard going well, it would be no surprise to see him run a big race on his debut over fences but Overlaw is readily preferred.
