SERGEANT PINK likes this track and is preferred to the unbeaten Malakai and potential improver Saddlers Deal. With an official rating of 128, Steve Gollings' colt sets a good standard and he was far from disgraced when third to Me Voici at Haydock last month. He sported first-time cheek-pieces there which remain on and with his excellent course form he should run well. Malakai made a successful hurdling debut at Wetherby in October and is penalised accordingly; his stable is in good form and a bold bid is expected with the ground in his favour. King In Waiting ran a good race behind Oenologue recently and his official rating of 120 gives him place claims, whilst Moonstreaker was poor last time out but remains capable of better. Saddlers Deal shaped with plenty of promise at Sedgefield last month and is open to more improvement, as is Teenage Kicks who ran well for a long way on his hurdling debut here before disappointing at Warwick on heavy ground. This could be a good chance for Sergeant Pink to get back to winning ways.
