Eagle Canyon has been an expensive failure on his two starts at Leopardstown and punters may get their fingers burnt again as he looked ordinary behind A Word Apart last time. His trainer also runs the once-raced Auguste Renoir, who finished last on his debut when Eagle Canyon was runner-up, and Johnny Murtagh's choice, the newcomer Obligation, a son of Galileo with a superb middle-distance pedigree. Hold The Aces showed promise and should be suited by the trip while Opa Loca ran well behind Honey Of A Kitten at Cork and a big run from Tradition in the opener will point to her chances. The Killarney maiden won by Mawaakef last month could provide the answer to this as third-placed NUCALS STAR and the fifth Edenshaw both caught the eye with preference today just for the former, a Danehill Dancer colt out of an unraced mare from a classic winning family.
