Verdict
RUBY ALEXANDER looks the percentage call in a wide-open nursery, with Mick Channon's pair Alfraamsey and Country Waltz considered dangers along with Sugar Beet. Our selection won nicely at Bath last time, in the process suggesting a return to six furlongs would suit, and her second placed effort here at Lingfield back in July looks better now than it did at the time. With man of the moment William Buick booked to ride and the pick of the draw she's taken to score. Sugar Beet has ability but she's shown a lack of love for starting stalls and that may be holding her back; she certainly rates a risky betting proposition. Alfraamsey tries the surface for the first time having possibly resented softening conditions at Newcastle and along with Country Waltz enters calculations while Inagh River drops in the weights but failed to improve for the fitting of blinkers at Kempton.
