A weak sprint handicap that presents Boanerges with the decent opportunity to finally end his long losing run; possibly at the main expense of Double M and Indian Bazaar, who are closely matched on what they have shown of late. In contrast, Tomthevic, who was second in this race last year off a mark of 52, has not been in anywhere near the same frame of mind this season and is probably best watched from a 5lb higher mark. While the likes of Inching and Enjoy The Buzz are also out of sorts at the present time and now have a little to prove. The latter appear to be the stable second string on this occasion and looks opposable anyway. Which brings us back to Boanerges, who has dropped to a featherweight mark in comparison to his best and should appreciate the ease in grade after his close up fourth in a better race at Ripon earlier in the week. A slow start did for him on that occasion. But the way he finished created the impression that his turn is finally coming back around again. So Boanerges is persevered with for another throw of the dice tonight.
