In depth

Verdict

Only 2lb separates the six runners on official ratings and half the field won last time out. BEAT OF THE DRUM only won by a head at Kempton but displayed plenty of resolution and she is less exposed than the majority of her rivals. Richard Hannon's filly gets the nod ahead of Wolverhampton scorer Of Course Darling and Ray Ward. David Simcock's gelding did cost £205,000, however, and is sure to improve on his victory here on the Polytrack as he gains further experience. Living The Life hasn't been disgraced in either run this year and looks the pick of the remainder.
