Verdict
This is an interesting race to get the card underway and we will give the narrow vote to Daniel Thomas, with Middle Earth and Rebuttal put forward as the main dangers. The selection did not get the race run to suit last time at Newmarket when narrowly beaten by Sun Kissed. He has done little wrong in his two starts to date and and he sets a decent standard for the rest here. Middle Earth rates the main danger after making a promising debut behind Clove at Windsor over 5 furlongs. The slight step up in trip will not be a problem but he ran very green at Windsor and will need to have come on significantly for that run to see off his rivals here. Rebuttal has a speedy pedigree and despite enjoying little luck in running, showed plenty of promise to finish second behind One Putra at Windsor on his debut. Providing he does not bounce, this colt from the Brian Meehan yard could be capable of a bold show. Tremar is another to have shown promise and he looks to have place prospects, while a market move for the Richard Hannon-trained newcomer Aviation should be noted, but we will stick with Daniel Thomas who looks the one they all have to beat.
