Verdict
The market will prove to be the deciding factor but we'll take a chance with Maddy. If the money fails to arrive then Greystoke Prince would be the call from Little Toto. George Baker has made a fantastic start to his training career and has proved on more than one occasion that he knows how to land a touch. Maddy showed enough ability for Ralph Beckett last season to suggest that she should win races and may be worth chancing first time up. Cheekpieces are applied for the first time today and she won't lack for assistance from the plate. Greystoke Prince attracted support on his first run since being gelded and beat all bar the useful Thebes. He's a shade unfortunate to have been handed a 2lb rise but he's entitled to come on for his reappearance and will be fancied to go one better. Little Toto also has the benefit of an outing under his belt but the way that he stayed on over an extended mile at Wolverhampton didn't obviously point to him being dropped in trip even allowing for the fact that he cut out the running for much of the way. An interesting heat, we'll take a chance with Maddy.
