Verdict

JACKHAMMER has won seven times on the Flat and twice over hurdles and has shown more than enough in four runs over fences to suggest he can play a leading role in a race like this. Hector Master should improve on his second at Perth and Take Centre Stage may make a better chaser than hurdler. Augharue was just touched off at Hexham two weeks ago but Heros De Moutiers is now 0-10 and has become hard to predict. Baron Briggs placed in a hunter chase here in the spring so can’t be ignored having had a wind operation since.
