Verdict

Fiston Du Mou only displayed limited ability in Ireland but revealed major improvement on a second start for Ann Duffield when taking a three-mile Perth handicap chase. A tongue tie and cheekpieces are applied for the first time and it will be intriguing to see if he can repeat that improvement. However, he faces a classy rival in STONEY MOUNTAIN. The Snowden charge is a very useful hurdler and will appreciate the step-up to three miles after landing a first fencing success here in late April over two and a half. Glan Y Gors ran well at Cartmel a week ago and looks next best if in the same mood and in receipt of 6lb from the penalised pair.
