Verdict
There's little on official ratings between the pair at the head of the weights. Alpine Sierra has taken a while to find his feet since leaving Dermot Weld but seemed to enjoy front-running tactics last time and presumably will look to do likewise here. Al Qaasim is proving a paragon of consistency for David O'Meara and has arguably been slightly unfortunate only to land a single success. He is highly likely to run his race yet again. The Ruth Carr yard could do with a winner at the moment but HOSTELRY has gone close for them the last twice and can take advantage of the weight received from the aforementioned pair despite being hoisted 4lb for a close Hamilton second.
