In depth

Verdict

It looks like a match on paper between Simply Supreme and Hey Ref. Sue Smith's charge has done nothing wrong this season with two bloodless victories over hurdles this season. Unfortunately he has to shoulder a double-penalty on this occasion and it may well be worth going against him with Hey Ref. Jonjo O'Neill's runner looked to fully appreciate the softer conditions at Carlisle and the form of the race has been upheld by Lenny Lungo's Jupiter De Bussy. Iceberge will need to improve to win this while Valleymore, who lost no caste in a thriller with Atlantic Crossing, could be the one to score if the principals fluff their lines.
