Gripsholm Castle is sure to be popular with many backers having run creditably in a listed race on his second start when a fair fourth behind Lady Jane Digby at Newcastle but Henry Cecil's filly may have to settle for a place at best behind ASSABIYYA, who gets the vote ahead of Rio Guru. Mick Channon's filly ran a better race when a close third behind Some Sunny Day at Ffos Las recently and the four-year-old has every chance off the same mark today. John Dunlop's Presbyterian Nun has been going better of late but one win from 15 starts tells its own story and of more interest may be Tom McCourt's Grantsville, who was a good winner of a Dundalk handicap last time. This is tougher though and it is hard to get away from Saeed Bin Suroor's Assabiyya, who won her maiden at Windsor well enough and lost no caste in defeat on her second start when chasing home Hallingdal at Folkestone. She can go one better today off a 1lb higher mark.
