Newcastle's Owen, Seven No Trumps and Funfair Wane catch the eye here, with Newcastle's Owen set to follow up a good run last time and take this. The ten year old veteran, Seven No Trumps, showed he was no back number with a good win at Chepstow three outings ago, before finishing a close third over the course and distance next time. He wasnt disgraced in mid division at Bath last time, but is opposed here. Funfair Wane chased home Prospect Court at Newcastle recently but was a disappointment here last time. He can go well but his winless run stretches back some time, and he also looks one to oppose. Newcastle's Owen reached the frame for the first time in his career when a staying on second in a claimer here last time. The significance of that run was that it was over the course and distance, and it was only his second effort over the minimum trip. He clearly likes the track and may be well treated. This is only a modest affair and Newcastle's Owen is taken to lose his maiden tag.
