Verdict
Vine Street sets the standard however we will take STREETS APART to improve on her first run when behind Wellington Square and she gets the vote. Despite a less-than-ideal draw today, Walter Swinburn's Street Cry filly is fancied to run well on her first crack on an artificial surface. She wasn¿t fancied on debut at Salisbury but she ran with some promise and can turn the tables on Wellington Square. Almost five lengths separated the pair last time and Hugh Morrison's gelding has run well on both of his starts. Connections will be hoping for a win today, especially if we consider that he was only a length off 102-rated Bazergan last time so the handicapper may give him a tough mark for handicaps. Vine Street's run last time at Lingfield reads fairly well in the context of this race; the winner Fortune City has since gone on to run well in handicap company. Scarab is a newcomer to watch in the betting as the stable are in form and this half-sister to Deep Winter is a nicely-bred individual. Mutawahej has been exposed as moderate to date and needs to improve and so we will stick with Streets Apart as the selection.
