Pomelo is held in high regard having landed the odds with the minimum of fuss over today’s trip at Newbury on her debut. We’ll know about her after this and the same goes for Salisbury novice winner Prado. The speedy Happy Romance arrives on the back of victories in the Super Sprint at Newbury and Premier Yearling Sales at York but steps up in distance along with ISABELLA GILES. The latter lost her unbeaten record in a Group 3 over 6f at Ascot but was doing her best work at the finish and this extra furlong looks likely to suit. Soft ground may prove a problem for Sweet Solera third Seattle Rock while handicap winner Thank You Next has plenty to find on these terms.
