Le Hachette is 5lb out of the handicap but her rider's claim takes care of that. A winner over this trip over both hurdles and fences in August, she finished runner-up over the bigger obstacles at Ballinrobe last time so has to be on the shortlist. GRAN GESTE won a similar race at the fixture a year ago on his return from a long break. He's 10lb higher here but Simon Torrens' claim is a major plus and he's taken to complete the double. Sassy Yet Classy showed that heavy ground suits when landing a mares' handicap at Navan but an 8lb rise makes this more difficult. La Feline won a Limerick maiden over this trip on testing ground by 17 lengths then found Cheltenham's Grade 2 Dawn Run Hurdle much too short while Westerner Point has had two runs over fences since scoring over timber last November and should make a bold bid to add to his dozen career victories. Impatient Partner disappointed when favourite at Gowran in January but is probably on a fair mark.
