Verdict
Kaparolo is in form and can win again, with most danger coming from River Pirate, Pardisher and The Newsman. Kaparolo has now won twice over the course and distance, most recently on his handicap debut 17 days ago when, fitted with a sheepskin noseband for the first time, he bolted up. Although connections reckon that he would be more at home on a more galloping track, Kaparolo has proved himself here already and a small rise in the weights should not stop him from running a big race. River Pirate still seems to be a bit immature despite his age, but the penny will drop soon judged on his staying on effort at Ascot last time. As for The Newsman, he needs no introduction, having been successful six times round here already, and is back over timber having faced a tough task in the Mildmay Chase at Cheltenham on what was his first outing since November. Pardisher has it to do with the selection on their running here last time, while Anatar is dropped in grade but still makes less appeal than Kaparolo who is taken to complete a hat-trick.
