A race which is little better than selling grade in truth but in which Halland can gain the winning habit versus Grouse Moor and Time To Roam. The former flat performer hasn't really set the world alight since switching to the winter game but if the jockey can settle him early, he should have too much class for these. Last of 17 in a hot race at Cheltenham behind Over The Creek in November, he improved for both the drop in class and step up in trip when runner-up to Fard Du Moulin Mas at Doncaster last time and a repeat would be good enough. Grouse Moor likes to get his toe in as evidenced by a Plumpton win in November and a couple of other decent efforts since. The concession of 7lb to the selection and this faster ground may be just too much for him though, and he is opposed. Of the others, Time To Roam is sent out by Martin Pipe and has to put a poor effort behind him from last time to figure, but he had been running well up to that point and if returning to his best he would trouble the selection, but for that we will stick with Halland.
