Verdict

EL DRAMA, a 425,000gns half-brother to several winners, can give Roger Varian and Andrea Atzeni back-to-back victories in this maiden. The John Gosden yard is another that generally thrives at the back-end and he has won this three times since 2011. Otyrar, a son of New Approach, is his representative this time. Colonel Faulkner changed hands for £70,000 earlier this year after costing only €33,000 as a yearling and he is worth a market check along with Saveatree, who has already been gelded but is bred for this trip. Kaheall cost twice as much as stablemate Pagan and the Muharaar colt is a half-brother to two winners so is preferred of the Haggas duo.
