    Verdict

ATLANTIS enters her first handicap as a maiden but ran a cracking race over course and distance when just inched out by Sea On Time in a decent-looking novice and can go one better off a feasible opening handicap mark and with first-time cheekpieces applied. Dual course and distance scorer, Bookmark, is an obvious danger but may just lack the scope of the Gosden filly to whom she concedes 6lb before the Howarth claim is factored in. Cathayensis has also been in good heart with two wins from her last four starts, but both wins came over 2f less than today's trip and she did disappoint on her only venture over 1m4f. Nevertheless, she's a tough cookie and is respected. Noonie and Cape Helles aren't discounted but both probably need to up their game a little.
