Abate still looks in good form and bids for a fourth win of the campaign with Strong Johnson another at the top of his game. TEMPLE BRUER is still 8lb higher than when landing this 12 months ago but this is a drop back down in grade and he won again here in June when Rathbone was only third. The latter has gone up 7lb for winning at Sandown and Connor Planas can’t claim in this but the top weight has also won here before and should be in the firing-line again. As If By Chance was successful at Nottingham two runs ago while it was soft going when Speedacus won over 5f here in July, though the latter has found this extra furlong beyond him in the past.
