Soldier's Gold won at Carlisle and Ascot over the summer and finished ahead of Balon D'Or when fifth in a valuable nursery at York three weeks ago. Stablemate Watcha Matey gave weight and a beating to a subsequent winner at Newmarket last month but Dragon Leader is more interesting. He made it 3-3 in one of these at York and it’s unlikely that Vantheman, Grey Cuban or We Never Stop will be good enough to reverse placings. JOHANNES BRAHMS (NAP) couldn’t match the speed of Big Evs in the Windsor Castle at Ascot and found one too good again in the Gimcrack at York but Aidan O’Brien’s smart juvenile is the class act in this. Komat has held her own in decent company since making a winning debut and Lambert is still improving while Flaccianello won a Newmarket nursery last month. Room Service was only half-a-length behind a subsequent Group 3 winner at York but was receiving 6lb.
