Verdict
In a difficult race to fully assess, Cherry Gold might just provide the answer, but there are a number to consider. The selection has not been in great heart just lately, but he is a course and distance winner, has form enough overall to be competitive and has the added advantage of being from a stable in form. Hereford winner Minella Storm probably has a bit to find overall, while Inis Cara has to be considered based on his 2002 form under Rules. Sohapara is a prolific point-to-point winner and Gipsy Girl and Minster Belle come here in good heart and, as 9-year-olds, should have more to come. As ever, watch the market for clues provided by those canny supporters of point-to-points but for us the selection is Cherry Gold.
