Verdict
Wakeup Smiling is taken to land a hat-trick, with Silk Trader and Bernadon likely to give him most to do. Wakeup Smiling has hit form lately, with back-to-back successes at Newbury coming his way in March. Emma Lavelle's gelding receives no penalty for his latest victory that came in claiming company, and although dropped back in trip, should still take the beating. Silk Trader has also been in consistent form and only found the progressive Paddy The Piper too good at Kelso last time. He should be bang in there at the finish and makes slightly more appeal than Bernadon, despite the fact that the latter is eight pound better off for three lengths on Kelso running. Ragdale Hall will line up fresh after a break but has his fair share of weight, while Claude Greengrass has been unlucky on the odd occasion but is best watched with a view to going back over fences. Of those even further down the weights, Lord Lington and Just Superb make some appeal, but Wakeup Smiling has done nothing wrong and can go in again.
