Verdict

SHANROE, unbeaten in his last three bumper starts, looks to have been found a nice opportunity to make a successful hurdling debut in a moderate contest. Gurkha Friend, seven times a winner on the Flat, refused to race at Ripon last time and doesn't look one to trust but Dagian was placed three times in succession here last winter having won on the Flat just over a year ago. Seaborough is very moderate on the Flat but has shown a bit more dash over timber and this shouldn't take a lot of winning.
