    Verdict

What Do You Know has a solid chance at this level and is preferred over Roman History and Rose Of Inchinor. The last named is open to improvement on turf and, having gone well on similar ground at Salisbury earlier in the month, a bold bid from the Marcus Tregoning-trained filly cannot be ruled out. Roman History, who at least knows what it takes to win a race, has to be respected on the pick of his efforts and, from almost the best of the draw, is capable of making a bold bid. He could represent good each-way value if the ground is not too testing. However, What Do You Know appears to have stronger claims at this level and, as the going is not really an issue with him; he gets the vote on this occasion. Gerard Butler's charge was given a stiff mark after making a winning debut on the All Weather last October and has struggled in handicaps as a result. But this is by far his easiest assignment of the season and, assuming he relishes the ease in grade the son of Compton Place is going to be hard to beat at this level. Admittedly, his form is nothing out of the ordinary and he is not one to be rushing to back at cramped odds. But it will be a bit disappointing for his connections if he cannot hold this modest bunch at bay.
