Verdict
Dodge City can beat Dijeerr, Paceman, Winged Flight and Bad Habit in what should be an informative contest. Unfortunately there is no form to go on here, but the vibes regarding Dodge City are good, and he is taken to give Jeremy Noseda more ammunition in the juvenile division. The son of Gone West has an entry in Redcar's Two-Year-Old Trophy and can justify his inclusion based on recent homework. Mind you, the others are sure to have been well tuned up, including Paceman, but his Derby entry reveals that he is likely to be more at home over further in time. Dijeerr cost $500,000 but no firm plans have been made yet. However, he will be fully expected to recoup at least some of the outlay and will be a danger to the selection. Mark Johnston's juveniles are flying at present, so the aptly named Winged Flight has to be on the short-list as well. He has plenty of entries including the Shergar Cup in a fortnight's time and is also pencilled in for Epsom next June. Bad Habit was relatively cheaply bought compared to some of these but has been striding out well at home and has to be kept on the right side as well, but Dodge City is reckoned useful and can go in first time.
