Ospreys wing Kristian Phillips was delighted to seize his chance with two tries in the 46-13 win over Leicester.
"The squad we have at the Ospreys is fantastic with so many internationals, and it's a privilege to train with them, so when you get a chance to play you just have to take it," said Phillips.
"It was an absolutely brilliant game and a great spectacle. The crowd was brilliant and it was good to bring the game to Bridgend.
"We want to play an exciting brand of rugby and the pitch held up well despite all the rain.
"It was a bit wet but were accurate and clinical with our skills and it paid off."
Leicester's director of rugby Richard Cockerill admitted his disappointment at conceding eight tries, but felt his side's busy week - the Tigers have played three times, including an outing against Australia - was partly to blame.

"We had an horrendous 20 minutes when we conceded all those tries but I thought the spirit and the work ethic was great," he said.
"We don't want to lose, and not lose by 40 points, but you have to put it into the context of squad call-ups and injuries and three games in a week.
"It's not all about winning sometimes. We are looking at the bigger picture with some of the younger players.
"It was horrendous to concede so many soft tries. Defensively we were all over the shop but at least we didn't continue that in the second half.
"We kept at it and you can't fault these players for effort. We had a lot of young men on the pitch at the same time which is not an ideal scenario."
