A fascinating contest in which all eight runners are last-time out winners. Broome is the sole Ballydoyle raider and must be respected on that fact alone, though his Galway victory didn't appear anything special. The likes of James Street and Persian Moon are endowed with considerable experience as well as dual winning form and Phoenix Of Spain impressed when scoring on the all-weather, though this is a major step up in class. Swissterious, Ventura Ocean and Pogo are probably going to need to improve so WATAN gets the vote. He was impressive on his Goodwood debut, despite looking rather green, and the style of his performance suggested he could be well up to handling this immediate move into Group class.
