Emaraty Hero won over 1m4f here in September and has placed over 2m. He looked ready for a step back up in trip when third behind Haizoom at Hamilton and is 3lb better off with the winner. The latter is trained by Keith Dalgleish, who also saddles Evaluation. He is on a hat-trick but it is anybody’s guess how he will handle this big field. Phoenix Aquilus has won three of his last four but they have all come on the all-weather. Wor Willie has won twice over 1m6f at Redcar and King Viktor should stay while Super Superjack has done nothing but improve since getting off the mark at Bath last June. Tendentious won at Doncaster last month attempting this trip for the first time but a line through the runner-up suggests SUMMERTIME ROMANCE, who is unexposed on Turf and bred to stay, may have his measure and could be the one to be on.
