This is an ultra competitive opener in which we will give the tentative vote to SIR PARKY ahead of Di Stefano and Ghostwing. The selection has done nothing but improve this season. He has already won three times and ran a personal best when scoring at Newbury in a conditions race last time out. Whether the ground rides fast or on the easy side he has performed well under various conditions and if anywhere near his best he will prove difficult to oppose. Di Stefano broke his maiden tag at Ripon in June but caught the eye after finishing second to Iver Bridge Lad in a listed contest at Sandown last time out. That form looks rock solid and another bold effort can be expected. Ghostwing carries a set of cheek pieces for the first time to enhance his enthusiasm. He is held in high regard by his trainer Richard Fahey and has not been discredited in a couple of Group 2 races this season so if at his best he is sure to be in the shake up once again. Sir Parky has improved with race experience and with further improvement still to come his looks the percentage call.
