Common Touch is the only course winner in the line-up having gained all three victories on the track though not over today's trip and his best form has been over 7f. Levitate was brought with a late run by Willie Twiston-Davies to land the Carlisle Bell narrowly from Toto Skyllachy and Silvery Moon. The latter is penalised for a subsequent victory at Ayr but all three can be given a chance in this ultra-competitive heat. Ginger Jack ran very well at Sandown last time where he didn't quite last out the 1m2f and he's better over today's trip while Oratory is in top form, though a 7lb rise for landing a Class 5 handicap at Ayr looks harsh. Vito Volterra benefited from a smart ride when making all at Pontefract and is unlikely to be given a soft lead here and, though Mark Johnston won this with a three-year-old in 2010, Assizes will need to improve on what he's shown to date. ANDERIEGO stepped up to a mile at Doncaster a fortnight ago and produced his best run since joining David O'Meara when runner-up to Eastward Ho. This is tougher but there may be some more improvement in him and Kieren Fallon is a positive booking so he's handed the vote.
