This generally goes to a well-supported runner and the biggest price in the last ten years has been 8/1. Saeed Bin Suroor has won it three times in that period and First Flight was running well enough in the autumn to be considered. Mahsoob landed a Kempton maiden on his belated debut in November and returned to action at Newbury to land a similar-class handicap though an 8lb rise looks a bit excessive as he only won by a neck. Field Of Fame, who won a heavy-ground maiden at Salisbury in 2013, didn't run last year so it was a very commendable performance to finish a close third to Mahsoob at Newbury where he didn't get the best of runs. He has to be a real threat to all with that under his belt. Satellite did well over this trip early last year before disappointing when sent over further but CHANCERY has won at both distances on this track and, after an impressive comeback on ground with some give at Ripon, he's taken to complete a double and gain his third victory on the Knavesmire.
