        Verdict

        Unless one of Mark Johnston's newcomers Nero's Return or Never Will proves to be out of the ordinary, this should go to River Treat, who created a favourable impression at Pontefract last time. Nero's Return is a brother to high-class juvenile sprinter Show Me The Money, while Never Will is a Cadeaux Genereux half-brother to a couple of winners. Both have to be respected but River Treat sets a decent standard and looks the one to be on. Geoff Wragg's colt stepped up on his debut effort at Windsor when making the odds-on Granato pull out all the stops at Pontefract, finishing four lengths clear of the remainder. He should be tough to beat. Paul Blockley's Key Partners, a creditable fifth on his Newmarket debut, looks the best of the remainder but River Treat has solid claims and is the selection.
