From a shortlist containing Red Nose Lady, Burning Truth, Gabor and Donatus, we will side with Burning Truth. The form of Red Nose Lady's second in claiming company to Talarive two runs ago looks good in the context of this race, and a repeat of that type of effort brings her solidly into the equation. However, the best in here on official ratings are Burning Truth and Gabor. They are both respected based on recent efforts at this type of level, with the Hereford winner two runs ago, Burning Truth, getting the nod. Donatus should be very at home at this level, with his form standing up to inspection, and with a very good rider booked, looks a danger to all. Replacement Pet has shown enough inside and outside of selling company to be considered, while River Amora's recent chase form affords him a chance, and a market move for Magic Warrior could be interesting. A repeat of his Hereford win two runs ago gives Jack Durrance some sort of claim, while the 14-year-old Governor Daniel would hold good claims based on his 2003 form, but he has been seen only once since. Back at this shorter trip, Court Award is worth a look in the betting and, of the others, Who Cares Wins has been beaten in sellers the last twice, but the best of his form of 2004 affords him respect this afternoon, Golly can be given a squeak, and Croker holds claims if turning the clock back two years. However, Burning Truth gets the vote.
