All-weather winner Nibras Gold was a shade keen on his hurdling debut at Ffos Las but was still only headed on the run-in and this looks a weaker contest. GATA BAN probably didn’t do a lot wrong on his first run under Rules at Fontwell, however, and the winning pointer will be staying on in the closing stages here. Maxcel won a bumper at Newton Abbot last July but hasn’t been seen since.
