Verdict

SAN BENEDETO is a bit quirky but would have been the best of these over hurdles and made a winning start over fences in a minor contest at Sedgefield, despite showing a marked reluctance to line up. He has more scope than last month's course and distance runner-up Presenting Arms and should be capable of giving the weight away to chasing newcomers Saint Charles and Swansea Mile, though both of the latter pair are nice prospects for chasing.
