A big field assemble for Worcester's first evening meeting, and we take Sadler's Lamp to come good at the expense of Sissinghurst Storm, Brisbane Road and Beehawk. There is quite a bit of dead wood here, and hopefully the winner will come from the above short-list, with Sadler's Lamp nominated as the selection. The Oliver Sherwood-trained six-year-old ran his best race at the fifth time of asking when second to Count The Cost over the marathon three mile and three furlong trip at Sedgefield a fortnight ago, and now that the penny is starting to drop, he could be one to follow before he goes chasing eventually. Sissinghurst Storm made a successful return to hurdling at Hereford last time after a spell chasing, but seems to prefer faster ground on the evidence so far. Brisbane Road only just prevailed in selling company at Plumpton but has a good pilot aboard in Paddy Brennan, while ex-pointer Beehawk has scope but is still learning his trade. It is not the best of races to start the card, and only a small investment is suggested on Sadler's Lamp.
