Hail The Chief, Mi Odds and Countrywide Flyer are the three for the shortlist in this Conditions Stakes, and we will side with Countrywide Flyer. The gelding from the David Barron yard is a course and distance winner and he was an easy winner last time when defeating Gavroche. He looks to be on the upgrade, and with Jamie Spencer in the plate, he is taken to score once again. Hail The Chief could be the main danger as this prolific all-weather winner showed signs that he is on the way back when defeating Lakota Brave on this track last time. He is clearly capable of running up a sequence of wins, but he may find the progressive Countrywide Flyer too good. Mi Odds has been in good form of late and he was a game second behind Nimello here last time. It is difficult to see him being out of the frame, and he looks to have good place prospects. Of the remainder, Invader is from a top yard and has to be respected, but Countrywide Flyer looks an improving type and is given the vote.
