Connotation can get the better of River Biscuit, Tomobel and Queen Tomyra, with Sirce worth a mention. This wide-open affair may see Connotation benefit from the step up in trip today, Paul D'Arcy's juvenile having finished a close third to Forzeen over six furlongs at Lingfield just over a fortnight ago. On breeding she will have no problem with the longer distance and gets a tentative vote. She is drawn in stall one, while River Biscuit is in the number one berth. Richard Hannon picked up the big race at Lingfield on Saturday and with his all-weather team in good shape, he can be expected to find the necessary improvement to take a hand. Tomobel bolted up at Lingfield but has a 7lb penalty to overcome, while Queen Tomyra at least has the extra trip in her favour. Sirce has track form and a good jockey booked to ride so is worth a mention as is Zando, but Connotation's form reads well and so he is the pick.
