A poor contest and several inexperienced riders. Vermillion Creek and White Plains enter calculations, but the vote goes to Favorisio, who will be well handled by Phillip Makin. The selection, who was just touched off at Southwell by White Plains, can reverse the form on 11lbs better terms for a half-length beating. White Plains is at his best when allowed to bowl along, and if allowed an uncontested lead, could prove difficult to peg back. The locally trained Vermillion Creek, is unexposed over this trip having been runner-up to Fatal Flaw the only time she has tackled this far, and a repetition of that effort should see her in the frame.
