soon led, ran wide on 1st bend, ridden, headed over 1f out, one pace
chased leaders, pushed along over 3f out, ridden to lead over 1f out, driven clear final furlong
tracked leader, hung right, weakened over 2f out
Montfjord ran a promising race on his debut over course and distance when finding just Caribana too good and he is taken to go one better today, getting the verdict over Yes Mr President and Ginger Minx. The last mentioned showed promise first time out but disappointed over course and distance last time so looks best watched today. A market move for the newcomer Springfield Lass would be of interest, while Musharahb is surely better than he showed at Lingfield on his debut. Mark Johnston's Yes Mr President may do better racing on the Polytrack for the first time but it is hard to get away from Montfjord, who gets the vote.
