Rockwood has won two of his last three starts at the track but both came over a longer trip and he's been upped a further 7lb for his latest success. Outlaw Torn's victory here in October also came over 1m2f and he's not raced since while Moonlight Venture won easily at Southwell a week ago and also landed a plating race on this surface at the start of the year. The latter is preferred to the unexposed maiden winner Shamlan but MR RED CLUBS gets another chance to end a long losing run given he went close again at Chelmsford on his latest start behind the progressive Biff Johnson.
