Graham Gibbons gave Bentley a superb ride to score over the C&D last week when Royal Island was a close fourth. The latter, who didn't get the best of runs, is 6lb better off and ran well enough over an inadequate 7f at Southwell on Saturday to reverse the placings though HERECOMETHEGIRLS has the beating of the pair of them. A very unfortunate loser when a neck behind Love In The Park here last month when Bentley was fourth receiving weight, Bill Turner's filly can finally lose her maiden tag at the 16th time of asking. It took John Potts 33 attempts before he gained his first success but there was no fluke about the victory and he is no forlorn hope to follow up.
