    Verdict

Andre Amar finished in front of Al Verde when going close over the minimum trip here earlier in the week in first-time cheekpieces. Toolmaker has disappointed since finishing second at Kempton ahead of third-placed Twice As Likely and the latter is preferred today but ANCIENT ASTRONAUT makes most appeal. The latter returned from a lengthy absence with a neck defeat in a course and distance handicap and is taken to go one better. Shymay placed at this level at Kempton recently and Cherish has the most scope.
