Go On Green, Le Masque and Bertie Swift form the shortlist in this maiden to open the card and the vote is given to Go On Green. The selection was a little disappointing at Lingfield last time but he had previously run well on the turf and he has the plum draw tonight. This should not take a great deal of winning and with Eddie Ahern doing the steering and the drop in trip expected to suit he should take plenty of beating. Le Masque has been in decent form of late but he seemed to find the minimum trip a little on the sharp side last time, so from a poor draw he can't really be fancied tonight. Bertie Swift has been running consistently well but he has had plenty of chances to get his head in front without taking one and he may have to settle for a minor role again here. Lady Fifer showed plenty of promise on her debut when finishing behind Bertie Swift but she is is sure to learn from the experience and she is well drawn so she could go well at a price. However, this looks a good opportunity for Go On Green who is taken to land the prize.
