The draw has been kinder to SHARK MAN than Vito Volterra and that could make a difference in a contest where Mind Of Her Own may be next best. Shark Man endured a spell in the doldrums after a decent start to the season but his fortunes have been revitalised by a drop in grade. The drop back to six furlongs proved against him at Kempton last time but he moves back up in distance and should go close if proving as effective at this track. Vito Volterra has also found his niche at this level having made pretty much every yard at Redcar and Yarmouth but his high draw won't make it easy for Philip Makin. However, if he manages to jump prominently without using up too much energy in the opening exchanges then a hat-trick could well be on the cards. Tamarind Hill has been 50-1 or bigger for all three starts in maidens but drops in grade and wears headgear for the first time and the combination may enable him to be more competitive; he has claims if the handicapper's assessment is accurate. Whipperway is weighted to convincingly reverse last month's form with Vito Volterra but she was below that level of form here last time. Mind Of Her Own is likely to prove more effective back in this company and could make her presence felt but preference is for Shark Man.
