A pretty ordinary maiden to open up with and it would not take debutante Voice to be anything special to land this, but we just prefer the experience of Golden Desert to prevail from Henry Cecil's filly, while Napoleon Dynamite and Howard's Tipple can get involved. Golden Desert was not at home on soft ground at Newmarket last time, but if you are prepared to forgive him that, then the Terry Mills-trained runner has every chance here. His run at Nottingham in September on a sound surface is the best form in the book as far as this race is concerned and if he can reproduce that then he might be good enough to break his duck. Voice is a nicely bred individual and comes from a yard going well of late. There have been no special whispers as to her chances here, but it is a fair bet that she will know her job well enough to be closely involved. Napoleon Dynamite has shown enough ability to make the frame here, but would have to improve on his recent Kempton start to trouble the selection, while Howards Tipple has been out of sorts since running well to make the frame at both Hamilton and Carlisle in the summer and we'd need to see more before showing an interest. But Golden Desert has one or two points of recommendation and we will side with him.
