Verdict

A difficult race to pick here where recent good form is in short supply but PERFECT HONOUR should just edge it ahead of Iachimo and Brown Lentic. The selection had no problem with the drop in trip at Lingfield last time but she was stuck on the outside all the way from her high draw, and then came even wider into the straight. But for that she would probably have won, so she is one to consider here after being drawn in the middle. The filly comes out of a yard in good form of late and is progressing. Iachimo, who had showed minor ability in three runs as a juvenile, was just good enough to win on his first attempt in handicap company last time out at Lingfield, finishing ahead of the selection. Gelded since his previous run, he has a bit more improvement in him, but he only scraped home last time so connections will have to take things gradually. Brown Lentic was a winner on debut for his new yard back in late January, but has failed to make the frame since. The three-year-old finished fifth in his last two outings at Lingfield but a change of track has been of benefit in the past and the colt should fare well here. As usual for this type of handicap market referral is advised and may hold the clue to the rest here, but the better draw for Perfect Honour should see her take victory here.
